Our vision for Pinebrook has been to create a comfortable, cozy, and restful haven to gather, relax, create and “hibernate!” 😉 We have put a lot of thought and care into the big and little details to make OUR home YOUR PERFECT RETREAT and respite from daily life! I’m Lanée (pronounced LaNAY) Willardsen, and have been attending and hosting retreats of all kinds since the 90s. My favorite, by far, is a secluded mountain getaway! The mountains are where I am most at peace. I am a photographer, obsessed with all things photo related, and have been scrapbooking since I was 9 years old! Last, I love helping others with their photo needs in my FOREVER business.
My husband, Brook, has been in real estate for over 20 years and we have been married for 38. About 10 years ago, he encouraged me to open my own retreat house and when showing clients homes in the mountains, always kept this thought in mind.
We decided to get serious about trying to find “just the right house” to double as a place for our family to get away to and also as a retreat house for scrapbookers, quilters, card-makers and crafters of all kinds - or simply a peaceful place to relax and rejuvenate in the incredible Rocky Mountains.
Fast forward to 2022… due to what was happening in the housing market, we agreed this dream was totally dead and stopped actively looking.
Many months later, I pulled out my phone one sleepless night and decided to check out new home listings which I hadn’t done in quite a while. A “Coming Soon” popped up and I showed it to Brook in the morning. As we walked around the house the day it came on the market, we knew immediately we had found THE home! It had taken over 6 long years of hunting, but this was it!
The name Pinebrook was created by combining 2 things: all the gorgeous pine trees I can’t stop staring at on our property with the name of the incredible man who made it all possible! Pine + Brook = Pinebrook! Dream had become reality!
